Staff were really helpful. Lovely place. It was a great little find, real value for money, much cheaper and nicer than other hostels in Barcelona. the location is amazing too. so close to the rambla and seemed quite safe,in a residential area. definitely recommend it!

The hostel was a great place to stay, located in a nice area close to bars. My room was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed, including a twin bed and WiFi. - the staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to assist with any requests. - I had a pleasant 7-night stay and really enjoyed my time there.

This was my perfect stay during the night and morning. Everything was great, including amicable staff and amazing location in a decent neighborhood. - the beds were lovely and the double room itself was extremely spacious and cheap. - A kitchen and a lounge area turned out to be good.

The first room we got was nice, it looked like an apartment with three bedrooms and common kitchen, bathroom and livingroom. The internet connection was almost perfect. The only thing was bad is only cold water in the shower and cold room.
We had a double room for 20 euro per night, it was ok, specially without warm water. We coudn't take a shower in three days and girls working at the reception said that they couldn't help us because when they try the water it is warm. Okay, but when I want to wash my hands or take the shower, the water turns cold... It means they have some problem.. The priced rised more than double on friday so we changed the room. The girl at the reception told us, that the difference is separate bed, and it was okay for us. But the room was totally different, no kitchen, almost no internet... But the bed was comfortable.

good location near Las Ramblas, El Raval, and Metro stations. Very friendly staff. Felt very secure. Staff confused our reservation at first but upgraded us and discounted our stay.
Slight mix up that was resolved very well.

Hostal Paraiso is a fantastic budget option for a trip to Barcelona. While not in the city centre, it's only a 15 minute walk to La Rambla and 20 to the marina. It was our first trip to the city and the staff couldn't have been more helpful (especially the lady on reception on Friday 11th around 12pm when we checked in) She told us we had been upgraded to a room with private bathroom and then spent 20 minutes showing us around the hostel plus how to get the most out of our weekend! The room was basic, but for the money we expected nothing more. It was clean and secure and the hostel itself was clean, safe and full of very nice travellers. This was our first hostel stay (we're generally hotel snobs!) but it has opened our eyes to the world of hostels and we're planning our next stay in one. All in all, if all you want is a clean safe and friendly place to stay in Barcelona, Hostal Paraiso is the one for you!!!
